Not-for-profit credit unions, CDFIs, MDIs, LIDs and any non-profit in good standing on Guidestar. See more information here.

How will people find my credit union?

The Opportunity Finder allows users to search for their specific needs, and shows the nonprofits and financial institutions that can address them. You can view the How it Works page to see what searches will bring up your products.

 

How much does the certification cost?

There is no cost for a non-profit listing. Financial institutions subsidize the ability to provide the technology to consumers for free by paying for the certification of products. The certification fee additionally covers the manual vetting of every product to ensure it meets Opportunity Knock$ standards. View Opportunity Knock$ standards. Product certification is based on asset size to ensure that people who need help can also find smaller not-for-profit credit unions and CDFIs.

 

How do I promote my Opportunity Product Certification?

Every listing comes with a certification badge you can add to marketing materials and online. You can upgrade your certification to include all show assets, social media content and a public relations kit. Learn more about the Marketing and PR package. This package is included in the All Products level of participation. 

Can I share the Opportunity Finder with non-profits in my community?

Yes! Our on-boarding materials include an email template for you to extend the benefits of the Opportunity Finder to every non-profit in your community. 

Is Opportunity Knock$ on PBS the only way people learn about The Opportunity Finder?

No. Non-profits across the country are hosting The Opportunity Finder on their websites. We are giving the code away for free to reach as many people as possible. The more people that use it, the more people that find solutions at your credit union. Non-profits in your community can host The Opportunity Finder on their website to help the people they serve find you.
